Mutianyu Great Wall
Mutianyu Great Wall of China in Huairou district is to the northeast of beijing and about 79kms away from Beijing city center. Known as another sections of the Great Wall in Beijing, it is able to receive 20,000 visitors daily. It is much original than Badaling Great Wall and less crownded in tourism high season.

The Mutianyu Great Wall section was initially built during the period of the southern Qi(479-502) in northern and southern dynasties, this section of the wall was once repaired in the late Tany dynasty and again renovated and expanded in the Ming dynasty. Mutianyu Great Wall of China measures 2,250 meters in length and with an elevation of 535 meters. Studded all along the wall are 22 turreted-fortresses, the Mutianyu section is accessible by cable cars from its foot.

Restored to its original shape from 1983 to 1984, the Mutianyu great wall was opened to tourists in 1986 when you could see a more original Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is good for hiking about 2 to 3 hours if you walk all the way! MuTianYu Great Wall is connected with JuYongGuan Pass in the west and Gubeikou Gateway in the east.
